| Property: |
Cupric Carbonate is also called Copper(ii)Carbonate Basic. It is peacock-green minor amorphous powder. Cupric Carbonate is not soluble in cold water or alcohol, and soluble in acid, cyanide, ammonium liquor and sodium alkali, ammonia salts. When Cupric Carbonate is boiled in alkaline metal Carbonate solution brown Cupric Oxide will be formed, and it will decompose into black Cupric Oxide below 200°C,Cupric Carbonate will be unstable under hydrogen sulfide atmosphere. There are ten plus kinds of Cupric Carbonate compounds because of varying rates of CuO:CO2:CO. Molecular formula is CuCO3·Cu(OH)2·XH2O solubility in water is 0.0008%. The decomposition temperature is 200-220°C.Cupric Carbonate is low toxic |

| Applications: |
Cupric Carbonate is used to prepare Cupric Compounds in inorganic industry, and also as organic synthetic catalyst in organic industry and additive in ormolu galvanization industry. Cupric Carbonate is also used to make fireworks, paint, pesticide, antidote for phosphorous toxicity, fungicide for seeds, copper additives for feeds, desulfier for raw oil storage |
